Insidious Trailer
Again what I particularly like about this horror trailer in terms of its horror conventions is the shot at around 0.44 where again a shot of a woman is shown followed by an eyeline match of a child's rocking horse in the corner of the room which is rocking by itself. This also can be related to Levi-Strauss' theory of binary opposition as a rocking horse would normally be asscoiated with innocent children however in this case it is seen as evil and scary as it is moving by itself. I also like the particular narrative that is used within this trailer and the clips shown where the main characters are shown with another figure/face standing behind them over their shoulders which look creepy and would give the audience chills as they know they can see the monster but the character cannot which I believe is a good horror convention within the trailer.
